    Character Name:
Nightwingz

    Class:
Hunter

    Realm:
Kargath

Primary Spec: (Provide a link if your armory does not reflect this spec):
7/57/7 without Trueshot Aura.

Are you willing to respec? If so, what other specs can you play?
I am able to play Survival spec and have some 277/264/258 pieces for it. I also do not mind to respect for Trueshot Aura or regem my gear for Survival if needed.

Please provide a working link to your character via armory:

Nightwingz @ H-Kargath

    List your professions:
My primary professions are Jewelcrafting and Blacksmithing, I also have 450 Cooking and about 360 Fishing.

Do you have 450 First Aid skill?
Yes.

Do you have your epic flying mount?
Yes.

Are you able to use Ventrilo?
Yes.

Do you have a working mic?
Yes.

    How old are you?
I am currently 20, 21 in August.

List your previous guilds and describe your reasons for leaving:
Fatal Union on H-Kargath – Pretty much the only serious raiding guild I have been in during WotLK. I left in June because I had some personal issues to take care of and, sadly, those combined with some conflicts in the guild.

Describe your previous WoW raid experience. Be specific:
During Vanilla and BC I played WoW very casually with only clearing Karazhan on a different character. In WotLK I picked up the pace and cleared :
Naxxramas 10/25 along with some achievements.
Ulduar 10/25 along with some hardmodes, however without Algalon.
ToTC 10/25
ToTGC 10/25 and Insanity in both.
ICC 10/25 12/12 on normal, 11/12 HC in both 10 and 25.

    Describe your previous MMO experience:
I played Age of Conan, Lineage2 and Lord of the Rings Online for short periods of time.

    Describe your typical weekly playtime:
Currently, during vacations that is, I am avaible to play 24/7 but usually play about 4-8 hours daily however I am not in a guild right now thus not raiding during the evenings.’

We are on a US East server. Where (generally speaking) are you?
Chicago, IL.

Why are you interested in Aftermath?
I would like to join Aftermath because You a very respected and skilled guild, one of the best in the world, that constantly strive to beat the most difficult encounters. I would like to secure a spot in a guild on such a high level before Cataclysm launch in order to be a part of those struggles when it launches.

    Why should Aftermath recruit you?
In my opinion I am a very dedicated WoW player. I try to get as much knowledge on the game mechanics as I can, come prepared as best as I can, that includes consumables as well as knowledge. I am very consistent in raiding, never being late and if I know I will be unable to attend a raid I inform the officers ahead of time.

Where did you hear about us? (If from a recruitment post, list the author):
I read the recruitment post on MMO-Champion forums however I have seen it also earlier on WoWprogress

Can you offer Aftermath any special skill (i.e. coding, website design, media, etc.)
I used to design websites and maintain SQL databases.

Are you able to take constructive criticism?
Yes, I do not love to be criticized but I do appreciate someone’s interest in myself becoming a better player and I usually take the advice or at least research it. As long as failing during raid goes I tend not to use any lame excuses for my mistakes and I really am my biggest critic.

Please include a screenshot of your raiding UI:
UI 1
I do not currently have a screenshot of my UI during a boss fight but will try to fix that as soon as possible.

Please include any damage/healing meters and/or WWS reports if available:

Toravon 25
The latest parses from ICC25HC I have participated with my guild have expired (taken at the beginning of June) today but I will try to get a pug for the normal 25 man and log it.

Do you have any references in Aftermath?

No.

Who else can we contact if we need to research you?
Fatal Union members however due to my conflicts with some of the most respected in guild their comments may not be objective.

Do you have any additional comments?
I don’t think so. If there are any additional questions I will be happy to answer them.

One Toravon the Ice Watcher kill is really not much to go on as far as parses.  I do have a few initial questions.
1) Why Treads of the Wasteland?  Why 16 Agi on them?  What other combination would you set your gear up in if you used a boot without hit?
2) In what ways do you feel you messed up in Toravon?  Be specific and include macros pressed if necessary.
3) Why Aspect of the Hawk glyph over other options?

1) I picked up Treads of the Wasteland because no one else in the raid wanted them and they have enabled me to change Hersir's Greatspear HC to Oathbinder. If I would be able to obtain Returning Footfalls the the most optimal thing in my opinion would be to gem for hit in yellow sockets however I would have to use 2x20Hit and 1xAgi/Hit unless I would also be able to obtain the heroic token and upgrade my gloves with it, then it would be 2x20Hit. I also use +40ArP buff food which with my current gear brings me to 1395ArP. As far as the enchant goes I felt that during farming the content the additional +8% speed from Cat's Swiftness was not needed.

2) I used my cooldowns during DBW proc and not during BL because it was impossible to tell when it is going to be used and if the fight would last over 3 minutes or not. Also didn't double pot since it is Toravon. As for Chimera shots I did not have Serpent Sting up at all the targets I have used it on because the orbs managment was very chaotic. It was not really my intention to show that combatlog in my guild applications but as far as 25man goes that is the only one I have at this moment and still can't find a decent ICC25 pug. All my damaging attack macros have Silencing Shot and Kill Comand as well as the Auto Shot trigger. For my cooldowns macro i use:

#showtooltip Rapid Fire
/cast Berserking
/cast Silencing Shot
/cast Rapid Fire

#showtooltip Readiness
/cast Silencing Shot
/cast [target=pettarget,exists] Kill Command
/cast Readiness

I use potions and Call of the Wild manually.

3) I do carry glyph of Kill Shot in my bags but www.femaledwarf.com has shown a minor dps increase with glyph of the Hawk compared to glyph of Kill Shot when I simulated it for the last time. I always use Kill Shot when the fight under 20% is especially important like Putricide or Sindragosa.

1) Incorrect.  The most optimal thing would be to put Accuracy on your 2H and 1 20 hit gem using your current gear.  You said you use femaledwarf, you should know Accuracy > Massacre.  Icewalker might also be an option for you over Agility.

2) You have a huge gap in between your rapid fires.  Timing it with bloodlust is not what I was going after at all.  I'm not concerned with your dps I'm concerned about your ability to use cooldowns effectively and hold your rotation amongst chaos.  You got 4 tricks.  If you wanted to show you could do amazing dps, feign death the orbs, disengage away from them and drop all your dps on the boss.  That's all a Toravon parse would show imo.  Also not a fan of your macros, looks inefficient.  Readiness can go on your rapid fire macro, as can call of the wild.  No reason to use it 'manually'.

3) Emulation dps does not equal real dps.  The emulation is assuming you are standing still 100% of the time.  Clearly you don't and kill shot immediately outperforms hawk at that point.

Without an ICC parse I can't really analyze judgments you make in each encounter.

1) You are definitely right - I have completely overlooked Accuracy on 2h and if I would be able to obtain ArP feet I would not hesitate to changing it to the right enchant.

2) I have been changing my UI lately a lot and it seems NTK are being overlooked by me that is why I decided to configure Power Auras to show Exploit weakness as well as Rapid Fire so that I can pop another one right away. As far as adding Readiness to the Rapid Fire - I would rather avoid that in my case since I mash buttons quite fast and I fear I might clip them despite the GCD.

3) And again You are right - however while being in a guild we had the encounters figured as far as movement goes so I could more or less predict it. I have taken Your advice and changed Hawk to Kill Shot.

Here is a (short) ICC parse taken a second ago. It only involves DW and Saurfang since Gunship has rightly been declared as 'trash' and the Marrowgar kill has not been logged for some odd reason.

ICC25 normal PUG

Also a update on my UI since I haven't posted one during an actual fight:
UI 2
UI 3
